The purpose of this course is to prepare students for a successful career by creating a seamless transition from career-oriented courses in high school to post-secondary education and credentials. This course provides an opportunity for students to develop strong employability skills (soft skills) that will make them desired employees.
Students apply technical skills learned in related coursework while working in real life employment situations. This program also assists businesses with building a highly trained, technologically sophisticated and career oriented young work force.
Course Prerequisites:
Completed an application
Acceptable behavior
Good Attendance
Satisfactorily passed each of their CITA pathway courses which relate to their job/future career field as well as be on track for graduation.
Additional Requirements:
Be at least 16 years of age
Be in the 11th or 12th grade
Have Good Discipline History
Reliable Transportation
Parental consent
